Genevieve and Tim wanted a space which could act as a communal space for the whole family to socialise in, and as an area which would become a hangout for their kids as they grew into teenagers!
The large open space we created currently acts as a playroom come office, but with the free standing bath located at one end of the space it has the potential to become a rather luxurious master bedroom.
As their garden climbs up the slope to the rear of the house, they would almost be on eye level with the loft conversions dormer. So, it was important that it wasn’t too imposing. By breaking up the design in to three separate dormers located in line with existing windows and sourcing reclaimed tiles we minimised impact it creates on the house.
